When this isn't the right moment
Out of deep care for your body, hijama (and massage) is paused when one of these is present. Call me — we'll talk, and your body will be welcomed back when it's ready.
After a cancer
Current diagnosis or in recovery. Even dry cupping moves the lymphatic system — written medical clearance is required first.
Fever or acute illness
A fever, infection, or acute illness means your body is fighting. Hijama waits until you are well again — rest comes first.
Pregnancy & early postpartum
If you're pregnant, or have given birth or breastfed within the last three months.
Blood thinners
Any anticoagulant or blood-thinning medication, prescription or over the counter.
Bleeding disorders
Hemophilia, or any condition that affects how your blood clots.
During your menstrual cycle
Your body is already releasing and asks for rest. Hijama is paused — a gentle massage, or dry cupping away from the abdomen and lower back, can still be offered. Just call.
Fragility or recovery
Very frail, elderly, or recovering from a serious illness — Release (dry cupping) only, after a short conversation.
Not sure? A short conversation costs nothing — and often, that is where the care begins.
